Happy first day of Summer, friends! Did you catch the 4th birthday we shared yesterday? (Be sure to pop on over if your littles love animals!) Four is the number this week, because we’re back with another incredible 4th birthday theme, this time coming to us from Nicole Colwell Design & Co and her team at The Ivy Rose Barn in Rocky Mount, VA. As a photographer, planner, and venue owner, mama Nicole was full of ideas for her daughter’s birthday, and the gorgeous white-walled barn was perfect for a darling daisy-filled “Fourever Groovy” theme. FourEver Groovy 4th Birthday Theme
How cute is this for a 4th birthday party theme? Retro inspired sunglasses made fun gifts for guests while the birthday girl donned a floral crown. Daisy motifs were used throughout the venue from the custom cake toppers to the big balloon arch backdrop. More groovy party decorations such as a record player and records, pink vintage telephone, and hand-calligraphed tambourines for each guest channeled the theme. Look how adorable our birthday girl is!

Daisy Themed Party Treats
Nicole and her team continued with daises when it came to the birthday cakes and party treats by Blush Baking Co. One cake featured these cute daisy toppers. Another cake featured a FourEver Groovy cake topper with daisy embellishments and the last in the trio donned a field of daisies with another laser-cut cake topper “four”. Guests also indulged in white, blush, and yellow brownies and custom sugar cookies and sipped their bevvies from sparkly disco ball tumblers.

You know we love to see creative balloon decorations at any modern kids party! These balloon daisies floating above a giant smiley face sure did the trick!
They even had life-size daisies “growing” from the ground around the party space.

The Venue
Want more info on this gorgy venue space? The Ivy Rose Barn, a new 100LC guide member in Virginia, is owned and run by Natalie’s mama, Nicole Colwell Design & Co. This luxury farm venue is nestled on their 70 acre family-owned honey bee and flower farm (hi, dream wedding venue!), and boasts breathtaking rolling hills, mountain views and flower fields. TOO CUTE! These groovy retro tablescapes featured rattan chargers, blush plates and napkins and daisy dinnerware with gold cutlery. The floral eyelet tablecloth and golden glassware (featuring a daisy shaped coupe, of course) elevated the space, while flower pillar candles and pretzels on coasters kept it all playful and sweet. Can’t get over these tambourines at every seat for a groovy birthday party scene!
When your venue is a working bee farm, honey favors are in order! The venue crafted these favors from their own honey and heart-shaped vases and displayed them along a custom favor wall with flowers and greenery by Grace & Greenery sprinkled throughout. Love this idea not only for party favors, but at a bridal shower and wedding too.
Another clever DIY element was this Cozy Coupe ride-on car made all-white and adorned with a custom named license plate and fresh blooms for the birthday girl.
