Groom Gifts FAQs

How much should you spend on a groom’s gift?

There are no rules or hard and fast guidelines on what you should spend on a groom’s gift. In fact, it may be controversial, but you may decide you don’t need to buy your groom a gift at all. However, the best way to work out your groom gift budget is to sit down with your wedding budget spreadsheet and see what’s available in your budget.

It may be that a small token gift is sufficient, or a simple and sweet thank you card. Couples can spend anywhere from nothing, to hundreds of pounds on their groom’s gifts. But you should be able to achieve a thoughtful and gorgeous gift approximately of £20 and up.

Do you have to give your groom a gift?

You don’t have to give a gift to your groom, it’s really down to personal choice and taste. That being said, it may be worth having a quick chat with your partner to see if you’ll be exchanging gifts and to discuss a budget. One of you may feel uncomfortable if only one of you gives a present on the day.

When to give out groom gifts?

Timing when to give your groom their gift is a completely personal choice. Many couples like to give gifts the evening before the wedding, during the morning preparations or at the end of the wedding day when they are alone together. Take a look at your wedding timeline to see a suitable time for your gift exchange.

And that’s a wrap! I hope that has you full of ideas about how to spoil your groom now. There are endless groom gift ideas, but those are just a few of my favourites. Happy gifting!
