If you’re looking for thoughtful details to infuse into your next kids party, this Hawaii theme party Sally and her team at Pretty Little Events threw for little Nola’s birthday is overflowing with them! Inspired by fond family memories at Lanikai Beach on Oahu, they knew Nola and her pals would love a little Hawaiian magic brought to the mainland. They transformed their venue, EvntFull in Fullerton, into a luxe pink tropical resort dubbed “Hotel Nola” and invited guests to spend the afternoon on island time.

Michelle of From the Bear recreated a photo of Nola taken on that Oahu beach for the birthday invitations. Her postcard illustration inspired the rest of the party, and guests RSVPed to the Shin Ohana to confirm attendance.
Rosa of Valentina’s Baked Goods created the most darling sugar cookies using sea turtles, luggage on bell carts and other odes to a Hawaiian vacation.
What kids party is complete without a big balloon arch display? Bonus points if you’ve got a DJ station!
Guests were welcomed with a lei greeting and vintage inspired keys to “check in” at the front desk, which doubled as a perfect backdrop for the cake and desserts.
Love the simple anthurium detail for the birthday cake by Sweet Deetails.
Grown ups kicked back in a luxe lounge complete with bubbly and cozy pillows.
Coconut place settings, how cute! LV Floral Events channeled the Hawaii theme with tropical-inspired floral arrangements in blush, yellow, and greens.
Bubble House LA provided all the fun encapsulated inside a balloon filled play bubble–such a hit and a perfect pair for the rest of the pink balloon decorations throughout.
The pink “Daily Resort Activities” sign informed guests of all the fun to follow.
Guests snacked on tons of spam musubi, fresh seasonal crudite and POG juice for all, prepared in house by Nola’s mom.
And aren’t these the cutest party favor bags ever? Cute sunnies and pineapple candies were wrapped up in natural woven mini beach bags with names written on luggage tags for the kids to pick up at check-out.
Erin of Erin Saldana Photography provided a fun photo booth where she recreated the postcard for guests to take postcard photos.
They all rocked out to luau-inspired music for a limbo contest and pineapple piñatas. So fun!
They even had a bell at the front desk!
Just too many good details in this Hawaii theme. Everything sure is better on island time, huh?
